XML Flex Field Date Attributes Not Honouring Time (Doc ID 1640086.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.1 to 6.3.5 [Release 6.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When entering an Order Release containing an Attribute Date Flex Field via an inbound integration, the hours from the attribute are not saved, however the date is being saved properly.

While entering the order release via an inbound integration using FlexFieldDate, the date and time should be saved into the database, not only the date.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Browse to Business Process Automation -> Integration -> Integration Manager -> Upload an XML/CSV Transmission
2. Import an order release XML into OTM which has an attribute flexfielddate mentioned to it of the following type:

20140114184000

20140114173000

2. Perform a SQL query to check the FlexFieldDate attribute value in the order_release table for the imported order.
3. We can see that the attribute of type flexfielddate has only the date correct but the time is wrong..

For example: Date and Time in XML: 20140114184000
Date and Time in the database 2014-01-14 08:00:00.0
The time 18:40 is being rounded to 08:00
