Master And Organization Items Form INVIDITM.fmb Cannot Save Changes To Items After Upgrade Of Database To 11.2.0.4 (Doc ID 1640733.1)

Symptoms

In the Master and Organizations Items form INVIDITM.fmb, Inventory Items are not saved after hitting save, even thought the form reports the items are saved. Also when use when using the Translation Icon the item information is not saved.

There is no visible indication that the item is not saved, the database trace does not have rollback.

When the item is re-queried it can be seen item has not been changed.

Steps
1. Navigate to Inventory > Items > Master or Organization Items.
2. Query an item.
3. Make a change and note the new value.
4. Save.
5. Requery the item.
6. The original value is present.

Note: Another symptom is save Item Categories fails from the Items form -> Tools -> Categories on RDBMS version 11.2.0.4.

 

In some cases, the following error is detected in the trace file
