Account Type is Not Saved at the Database Level for an Account Created in Oracle Customers Online (OCO)

Symptoms
In R12.1.3:
Attempting to create a "Party" and "Account" in Oracle Customer Online (OCO). The "Customer Type" flag is not getting populated in the HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS table.
Steps to Reproduce: Responsibility: Customers Online Data Librarian Navigation: Home > Customers Tab > Organization Subtab -Click on the Create button to create a Party -Add Below Details Organization Name: Customer_Type_Organization Address Line1: 100 Main Street City: San Antonio County: Bexar Postal Code 78249 State : TX -Once Party is created Click on “Update” button then click on 'Accounts' and click on 'Create Account' -Once the account is created, notice the Account Type - it is defaulted to “External”. -However, when running the query below, “Account Type”field still shows 'Null':
WORKAROUND: Responsibility: Receivables Navigation: Customers > Customers > Query Customer Change the Customer Type from "External" > back to "Internal" > back to "External" to save the type at the database level.
