How To Handle Large Outbound XML Files In GTM

Have GTM Transactions outbound messages to the external system that are very large files. These files are so large that they are crashing the middleware since they are beyond the defined file size.
The outbound message file size seem to be close to 3 times larger than the inbound message which has numerous transaction lines embedded in it. Post GTM screening when GTM triggered the Transaction
Screening Status update message to the external system, the system could not handle this file and eventually crashed.
