Applying Overpayment Claim to Chargeback Created from Trade Management Error: "Apply Date Must Be Greater than or Equal to the Transaction Date. An error occurred when applying application on receipt through AR Receipt API." (Doc ID 1665215.1)

Symptoms

When applying overpayment claim to Chargeback created from Trade Management the following error occurs :-

Error

Apply Date must be greater than or equal to the Transaction Date.
An error occurred when applying application on receipt through AR Receipt API.

 

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Responsibility: Receivables
  2. Navigation: Invoices
  3. Create an invoice 501017 for $1000
  4. Navigation: Receipts
  5. Create a receipt R-501017-1 for $500 and short pay it to create an invoice deduction DED16182 for $500
  6. Responsibility: Oracle Trade Management
  7. Navigation: Claims
  8. Query deduction DED16182
  9. Set the settlement method as Chargeback
  10. Approve the deduction.
  11. Deduction gets closed and Chargeback 100202 gets created for $500
  12. Responsibility: Receivables
  13. Create another receipt R-CB-1 for $500
  14. From Apply page, Apply to Claim Investigation for $500 and create an overpayment OPM16183
  15. Responsibility: Oracle Trade Management
  16. Query overpayment OPM16183
  17. Set the settlement method as "Previous Open Debit"
  18. Select the chargeback 100202 created earlier and save
  19. Request Overpayment for approval
  20. Approval fails with error
