To Locator Error On Inter-Org Transfer: Locator References MFG_Organization_ID Profile (Doc ID 1667154.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
The Inter-Org Transfer (INVTTMTX) fails with stock locator validation error referencing the key flexfields from the receiving organization.
The locator key flexfield depends on MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID profile.

Value XXX01 for the flexfield segment Subinventory does not exist in the value set

-- Workaround --
Use items/subinventories without locators enabled.
Change locator key flexfield to NOT depend on MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID profile.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect no errors.

STEPS
1. Navigate to Inventory > transactions > inter-org transfer.
2. Select from/to organization.
3. Enter from item/subinventory/locator. * All is fine so far.
4. Enter to / destination subinventory. * All is fine so far.
5. Enter to / destination locator.
6. Receive the error.

Valueset Setup

1. Create value set

Value set: ORG_SUBINVENTORIES
Table: MTL_SECONDARY_INVENTORIES
Value: SECONDARY_INVENTORY_NAME
Meaning: DESCRIPTION
WHERE:
where organization_id = fnd_profile.value('MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID')
ORDER BY SECONDARY_INVENTORY_NAME

2. Add optional segment 4 on locator

Key Flexfield: Stock Locators
Segment4 : Subinventory
Value set: ORG_SUBINVENTORIES

BUSINESS IMPACT
Prevents inter-org transfers. Cannot select locators.
Critical process to business. Cannot move material.
