Symptoms
When saving an Inter-organization transfer transaction for a costing enabled item having cost defined in the source organization using Standard Cost method, the following error is observed in the screen:
Transaction processor error:
Item cost should be defined before you transact
Action:
Check if the cost-enabled flag is set correctly in the item master , and also check if the item cost is defined in the costing module.

Expect the inter-organization Transfer form saves the transaction without error.
Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to Inventory > Transactions > Inter-organization transfer
- Enter the item, quantity and destination organization
- Click the SAVE button on the toolbar and receive the error message
