Using Price List Mass Maintenance Receives an Internal Server Error - The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request (Doc ID 1670802.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to select all and use bulk change, the following error occurs.

ERROR
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, <Sysadmin_email_id> and inform them of the time the error occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Select large price list (~2000 lines)
2. Use Bulk Change
3. Use "End Date and Create New"
4. Check box "Retain Existing Start Date"
5. Set an end date to "31-JAN-YYYY"
6. Set new line start date to "01-FEB-YYYY"
7. Select "Percent" as the value
8. Enter 0 as the percent
9. Hit the continue button

Error message received
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator,<Sysadmin_email_id> and inform them of the time the error occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

This is the only thing on the screen. I am completely logged out and must start again.

One can use pricing maintenance for a small number of records, but trying to edit any large number of records (i.e. 2000) consistently produces this error.
