Material Workbench (INVMWBIV) Unexpectedly Showing Stock Locators Key Flexfield Segments Defined As Non Displayed (Doc ID 1672374.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 14, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On release 12.1.3:

Stock Locators key flexfield (KFF) is defined with three mandatory segments as below:
Seq=10, Organization, Value Set Validation Type=Table, Required=Yes, Displayed=No
Seq=20, Subinventory, Value Set Validation Type=Table, Required=Yes, Displayed=No
Seq=30, Location, Value Set Validation Type=Independent, Required=Yes, Displayed=Yes

When creating stock locators, the two first segments get automatically populated but forms should only display the third segment.

It works fine except in the Material Workbench form (INVMWBIV) where the three segment values are showing up.

There is no other kind of flexfield issue in any any form / any product and with any other key flexfield.

Material Workbench form should not display Stock Locators KFF segments defined with Displayed as unchecked in Segments Summary window.

The issue can be replicated per the below steps:
1. Go to On-Hand, Availability : On-Hand Quantity
2. Query for any item
3. In Material Workbench window, see the three segments are displayed

Business impact
Due to this issue, users are getting confused when reviewing on hand and available quantities in R12. It is a dramatic change for them.

The problem may surface after upgrading from R11i to release 12.1.3.
