Lots Created With Leading Or Trailing Spaces Cause Multiple Errors (Doc ID 1675620.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, LOTSERATT

When attempting to run the Memory Based Planner, it errors out indicating that lots with leading and / or trailing spaces are the cause. Also, these lots throw an error when they are attempted in Material Transactions.

ERROR

Memory Based Planner error:
APP-FND-01564 mraorc_add_onhand_recom failed ORA-00001 unique constraint (MSC.MSC_SUPPLIES_U1) violated.

Attempting to transact a lot with trailing spaces.."

|INV_NULLOBJECTID (ENTITY1=p_parent_object_number)|Parent Org,
Item and Object Number Combination is not valid'


The lots are created using an of the following functions:
1) apis
2) lots form (INVTDILT)
3) material transactions Form (INVTTMTX), block (LOT_ENTRY)
4) batch material transactions (GMETTMTX), block (LOT_ENTRY)

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are able to create lots with leading and/or trailing spaces and cannot transact these lots or complete an unconstrained plan in production environment.
