Customised OTL Self Service Timecard Saving Incorrect Values (Doc ID 1680606.1)

Symptoms


Self Service timecard layout has been customized  to add a field with a choice list.  The list is populated via a custom value set and a view created called HXC_CUI_CUSTOM3_V which returns the values and ids. 

When using the Self Service screen, the list returns the expected values but when it is saved, the value vanishes.


In Hxc_Time_Attributes that the value being stored in Attribute12 is not the value returned by the view.

For example:

in a test instance, there are 3 values set up with the ids 1232023, 1232024 and 1232025.

When used in the screen, the values saved in the database are -5150515351480000000000000000, -5150515351490000000000000000 and -5150515351500000000000000000.

 Using very similar functionality for a different department using a different value set and HXC_CUI_CUSTOM4_V (also pointing to Attribute12) and that works just fine.


Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Timecard created and saved using the customized layout
