On : 12.1.3 version, Catalog items

PIM - unable to update planning attributes

we have come across one issue in our prod system where we are not able to update planning attributes for an Item. The segment1 of the item holds some special characters.
 

ERROR
Item number update is disallowed as set in profile (INV:Updateable Item name)

STEPS
1. update item planing attribute
2. Receive the error.

BUSINESS IMPACT
Users cannot item planing attribute.
