Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Item Advanced search does not allow to populate search criteria using % in the list of values (LOV) like lifecycle phase.

-- Error --
You must enter a value to search. Values cannot start with "%" or "_"

-- What is working --
In 11i we were able search using %.

-- Workaround --
If one knows the lifecycle phase, they can enter the first initial like P% and the LOV works.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect find list of values (LOV) to allow % on lifecyclephase.

STEPS
1. Navigate to Development Manager > Advanced Search > Choose an item catalog category.
2. Use LOV for Lifecycle Phase
3. Enter % and Go.
4. Get the error.

BUSINESS IMPACT
More time consuming as users must know the lifecycle name or starting letters.

Changes

Works in R11i before upgrade to R12.
