Why isn't the Ship Delivery Pattern in the RLM Processing Rules working as expected? (Doc ID 1903545.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Release Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Summary of Issue
Setup and enabled a shipping and receiving calendar for ABC Production in TEST and users are
seeing the same results where the system appears to be applying the ship delivery pattern first and
then taking into account the transit.

Expectation: It would be preferable for the transit time to be applied first and then the ship delivery pattern.

Looking for the ability able to use the Ship Delivery Pattern along with transit days in the processing rules
but adding in transit days causes the demand to peg to days other than those defined by the Ship Delivery
Pattern. >>> Ship Delivery Pattern = FRIDAY

Example Data: The Demand on each day of the week and two Mondays. With the Ship Delivery Pattern set to Friday,
demand is placed on Fridays but the parts that are due on Friday 5/2 need to show up on the previous Friday or they
will be late for the customer’s in-house date.

Observe: The forecast is pegging to Thursdays when it should be on Friday's, as defined by the Ship Delivery Pattern
