Last updated on AUGUST 13, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Product Development - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On : 12.1.3 version, Product Development Routings

You find being Unable to delete steps from routings/recipes

For some recipes/routings you can not delete a step as explained in replication steps further below
This issue does not occur for all routings/recipes, for some we were able to delete steps (with correct quantity by the way).

You Expect to be able to delete steps from routing/recipe

The steps are following:
1. If from routing you try to delete the step, system says:
APP-GMD-81208: This routing step has recipe-specific data in one or more recipes
This is fine because step is referenced in recipe.

2. If you delete the step in recipe, and query again the same recipe , you see that system created it again
You can not try to delete it again as delete button is greyed.

Why is this error and feature preventing the deletion?

Note : in current case, customer had already applied the identified fix from <<bug 8624488>> : RECIPE ROUTING STEP DELETION NOT ALLOWED
