Workflow Mailer Services Will Not Start Due to SSL Certificate Chaining Error (Doc ID 1903860.1)

Symptoms

The workflow mailer will not start up where the status is SYSTEM DEACTIVATED.   Running the workflow mailer diagnostic test from Note 748421.1 shows that the diag.txt output has the following error when connecting to the IMAP account:  

javax.mail.MessagingException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.j: PKIX path building failed:

java.security.cert.CertPathBuilderException: PKIXCertPathBuilderImpl could not
build a valid CertPath.; internal cause is: 
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: The certificate issued

...
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Certificate chaining error;

Changes

 The SSL certificate was recently modified and reloaded.
