Last updated on MARCH 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.1 version, Service Authoring

When attempting to perform a status change from Entered to Incomplete, after performing cascade attributes function, the status remains in Entered status and the form errors out with the following. At this point the error keeps repeating and does not let the user exit unless the form is shut down. When the contract is retrieved again, the status shows Incomplete.

FRM-40202: Field must be entered.

The error does not happen and the form behaves correctly if cascade attributes function was not performed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Queried the “Entered” contracts
2. Opened the contract which is in “Entered” Status
3. Go to “Actions” and then click “Cascade Attributes”
4. Check mark the cascade attributes
from header to lines
Click on “Submit”
Click on “Apply”
5. Do the same for Lines to sublines and apply.
6. Now try to Change the status from Entered to “Incomplete”
Tools > Change Status
To Incomplete status
The message comes up “Status changes Success”
7. The form is rendered and lines have disappeared and the following error is displayed
FRM-40202: Field must be entered.
8. And shows the status still in Entered status.
the user is forced to log out
9. Repeat the same steps and do not perform step 3,4, and 5 and all works correctly.
