GL Posting Program Performance Issue due to Inserts into GL_DAILY_POST_INT1 and GL_DAILY_POST_INT2 (Doc ID 1905037.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Posting completes in a much longer time than in the 11i release.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Performance issue with GL posting program after upgrade from 11i.
Posting program for a large volume (approximately 2 million journals) takes over 9 hours to complete.
Before the upgrade to release 12, a similar volume completed in an hour.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect that the posting process will complete in the same or less time than posting executions in 11i prior to the upgrade to R12.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Login to General Ledger responsibility

2. Navigate to Journals-> Post

3. Query for a Journal with large volume of data.

4. Post the journal.
