How to avoid PO reapproval when PO is updated with PO Change API (Doc ID 1905074.1)

Goal

Is this possible to apply different reapproval tolerances when updating PO using standard API PO_CHANGE_API1_S.update_po and when updating the PO using the form.
I.e. the PO would be autoapproved when updated via API and follow other reapproval tolerances when updated using the Form.
