Symptoms

On Production: 12.1.3 version, patched to R12.HR_PF.B.delta.6 Assignment,Term,Pay,ChgMgr,LOA

When attempting to approve a leave of absence, the following error occurs occasionally.

The changes were not applied because ORA-20001: The current row is locked

Cause: You are trying to lock a row in the PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F table which is currently being locked by another user.

Action: Re-query and attempt to lock the row again.

 

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Employee applied for a leave
2. Manager tried to approve the request
3. Workflow transaction is erroring out
