Latin Tax: Error: No Tax Code Associated to <RATE> Level Rule for Tax Category <Category> and Contributor Type <contributor> when Fiscal Classification Has "/" Character (Doc ID 1912559.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle E-Business Suite, 12.1.3 version,

Attempting to save a new invoice transaction, using an Inventory Item that has a Fiscal Classification Code with a slash (ie. 84818099 04/98) assigned and receive the following error:

ERROR
-----------------------
No Tax Code associated to RATE level rule for Tax Category I-IPI-C and Contributor Type COMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL


Transactions created with Inventory Items, that have other Fiscal Classification Codes, are working fine.

Steps to Reproduce:
Responsibility:  Receivables with Latin Tax Engine enabled for Brazil
Navigation:  Transactions > Transactions
Enter a Transaction using an Inventory Item that has as Fiscal Classification Code = "84818099 04/98" assigned
Save and observe the error mentioned

 

Bug 20053267 - BRAZIL LOCALIZATION LATIN TAX ENGINE EXCEPTION NOT REFLECTING IN OM

According to Development:
There is no RATE level rule defined for Tax Category IPI_C and Contributor
Type CONTRIBUINTE.  

Please correct the setup for the issue to be resolved.
