Workplan issues with planned and actuals
We recently applied patches and while testing we have lots of issues with our workplans.
Now the actual costs seem correct but the planned costs and planned effort are doubled on the workplan summary page.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
We created a new project with a workplan. Published the workplan.
Booked labor and supplier invoices against the project.
Ran the costing processes.
Ran the processes for project performance reporting:
PRC: Process Project Structure Updates
PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts
PRC: Update Project and Resource Base Summaries
PRC: Launch Update Project Performance Data
At this point, the actual costs showed on the task level but NOT on the workplan summary.
Ran the processes:
PRC: Refresh Project and Resource Base Summaries
PRC: Refresh Project Performance Data
The issue has the following business impact:
Users cannot rely on the information shown on the workplan.
They use these to manage the project estimates and actuals. If they cannot rely on the correct information being displayed then there is really no point in using the product.
