Is Interface Data Transformer (IDT) Available After R12.0. 6 ? (Doc ID 1923257.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.6 to 12.2.5 [Release 12.0 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Interface Data Transformer (IDT) is used to transform journals held in 3rd party applications which use a different Chart of Accounts (COA).
Process is:
- File received
- File data loaded into GL_INTERFACE
- Rules configured in IDT are run (which essentially remaps the segment columns to the required COA)
- Journal imported

Use of IDT is documented in both the R12.2 Oracle General Ledger User's Guide Release and Oracle General Ledger Implementation Guide, however the data objects for IDT are not in the database. In fact $GCS_TOP does not exist.

Should this functionality still be available post R12.0.6 or is the User Guide wrong?
