MSCA Mobile Page Still Prompts For 'Select Organization' Even Though User Has Access To Only One Organization [Video] (Doc ID 1923348.1)

Last updated on JULY 05, 2023

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Mobile Supply Chain Application (MSCA) page prompts for 'Select Organization' even though the user has access to only one, single organization.

This works correctly on the forms, is there a way to default organization in mobile page also?

Expected Behavior
A responsibility or user with just one, single organization access should not be prompted to select an organization.

What is working
In the forms, if there is only one organization, the user sees no list of values. The organization is automatically selected.
On mobile, however, it is not working the same. The user is prompted for an organization then it is automatically selected.

Setup
1. You could setup organization access in Inventory > Setup > Organizations > Organization Access. This limits organization access by responsibility.

2. Other customers have noted that they saw a similar situation with the security profile. They used HR:security profile at user level to restrict the user to only organization. After this, from applications/forms, upon opening any forms (eg:material transaction) in (Eg:)Inventory responsibility, Organization is defaulted to the one organization which user has access and opening the material transaction form directly.  But in mobile pages, still user is prompted with 'Select Organization' though in LOV it has only one value.
