Responsibilities Are Not Visible When End Date Is Removed (Doc ID 1926095.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 20, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Application Object Library - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On R12.0.6, after removing the end-date of a responsibility assignment for a user, the responsibility is not visible on the user's homepage. Even though its data is synchronized properly in WF directory service tables.

Also, it is observed that the below query used to populate responsibilities on homepage is returning the same missing responsibility:

select distinct furg.responsibility_id, furg.responsibility_application_id, furg.security_group_id, furg.start_date, furg.end_date from fnd_user_resp_groups furg, fnd_responsibility fr where furg.user_id = 3526 and furg.responsibility_id = fr.responsibility_id and furg.responsibility_application_id = fr.application_id and furg.start_date <= sysdate and (furg.end_date is null or furg.end_date >= sysdate) and fr.start_date <= sysdate and (fr.end_date is null or fr.end_date >= sysdate) order by furg.responsibility_id, furg.responsibility_application_id, furg.security_group_id;

Steps To Reproduce
===================

1. Responsibility --> System Administrator
2. Screen --> Define User
3. Query any user and remove end-date from any responsibility.
4. Log out and log in with that user, responsibility is not immediately available, it may after one hour or sometimes one day.
