EBS/OAM Logout Not Completing Successfully (Doc ID 1926577.1)

Symptoms

On 12.1.3 version, Oracle Access Manager,
when attempting to click the Logout link, the logout process seems to go into a loop and never completes. Eventually the following error occurs:

"The webpage at http://<Ebiz host>.<dpart1>.<dpart2>.<dpart3>.<dpart4>:8006/OA_HTML/AppsLogout?langCode=US has resulted in too many redirects."


The webgate error log will then show:

"Request Failed for : /ebsauth_ERPMASK/ssologout_callback?phase=CookieCleanup, Resp Code : [500], referer: http://<OAM host>.<dpart1>.<dpart2>.<dpart3>.<dpart4>:8888/ebsauth_ERPMASK/ssologout_callback?phase=AppsCleanup".

e.g. <Ebiz host>.<dpart1>.<dpart2>.<dpart3>.<dpart4> = Ebiztest.my.oracle.com.au

where:
<dpart1>=my
<dpart2>=oracle
<dpart3>=com
<dpart4>=au

The domain is my.oracle.com.au.
