Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Learning Management - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1 HRMS RUP6 version, Learning Assessment

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Training History Issue

If a learner has completed an online course the system correctly shows the completion date on the learning history for the learner. If at a later date a certification is created where the component consists of this course, when the learner completes the course the certification is updated with the correct completion date. However the Learning History will show the old completion date for the learner against the course.
The system will also show the old completion date of the course from the learner’s homepage via Self Service.

Also there is a discrepancy in the status of the course in learning history from Administrator and Learner Self service from learner

From Administrator it is showing old Status and in Learner self service it is showing updated status

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If a learner has completed an online course the system correctly shows the completion date on the learning history for the learner. If at a later date a certification is created where the component consists of this course, when the learner completes the course the certification is updated with the correct completion date. The Learning History should be showing the correct completion date for the learner against the course.

Status should be same both from Learner and Administrator

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Learning Administrator >> Create an online asynchronous class>> Enroll Learner and play course.
2. Observe that the class completion date is as per the date course is completed.
3. Create a new Certification on date later than the completion date >> Add the course to the certificate
4. Subscribe the Learner to the Certification >> Observe the class status changes to Not Attempted/ Item in column is filled & completion date is pointing to old date when course was completed (in step 2).
5. Play the course>> Observe the Certificate Completion date as of today's date
6. Class completion is still pointing to old completion date (as in step 2) for both Learner Self Service and Learning History.
