Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Customers Module

The hz.parties.Party_name currently saves as firstname.Lastname.

If you set the Profile Option:  HZ: Name/Address Backwards Compatability = No, the Parties (that get created after profile change) Party Name will change to "Last Name, First Name Middle Name" format (Which is the desired result).

This does automatically reformat the existing Party Names, as expected.
The Party_NAME is still populated in the wrong format, when Customer of type Person is saved.
The HZ_PARTIES.Party_Name is still showing as Firstname MiddleName LastName.

When a change is made to the the customer name:

Steps to Reproduce:
Responsiblity: System Administrator
Naviation:
Profile > System
Set HZ: Name/Address Backwards Compatability" to "No"

Responsibility:
  Receivables
Navigation:  Customers > Customers
Query a Customer with Type of Person
Update customer and Save.
The HZ_PARTIES.Party_Name is saved as Firstname MiddleName LastName.
You need the name to be saved in the format of "Lastname, Firstname MI."
