EBS 12.1: Not Able To Log Out In DMZ With Reverse Proxy Configuration (Doc ID 1932750.1)

Problem Description

External users are unable to logout as the logout URL is generated incorrectly

See error message in browser "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage"  the url on the page is

When looking at HTTP trace, the actual URL being called at the time of failure is

The root cause is due to the hostname in the URL being generated is that of the physical hostname instead of the virtual hostname


Are using EBS 12.1.3 and have configured DMZ node following "Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Configuration in a DMZ" <Note 380490.1>

INTNODE - Internal middle tier physical hostname
EXTNODE - External middle tier physical hostname --virtual host name for internal middle tier --virtual hostname for the external (DMZ) middle tier

All internal users using SSO are logging through OAD/OAM and external user are login through the local login.

Profile option "Applications SSO Type" is set to SSWA for node EXTNODE at server level to allow external user access to application directly without SSO.   User identity store for external users are not in OID.
