New LD Object Code (Account) is Not Used by Auto-Population Natural Account and Expenditure Types Rules (Doc ID 1933669.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Labor Distribution - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.1 HRMS RUP6 version, Setup

Find that when a new Object code is put in the 'Add'l Element Type Details' descriptive flexfield (dff) on the element description form, AutoPopulation is not picking up the new object code when running Create Distribution Lines.

Expect the new Object code to be used in the distribution

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

New segment values are created for Object code
Add'l Element Type Details dff is set up to use ATTRIBUTE3
AutoPop Natural Account and Expenditure Types rules are set up to use ATTRIBUTE3
on the Element Description form > update the Add'l Element Type Details dff with a new Object number from the LOV : 5140120
then run Payroll, Costing, LD import, CDL, and S&T
look at the Distribution on the Distribution Adjustment screen, find that the Object number is 5110110 instead of what they expected 5140120 (5110110 is expected only as a default if there is no Object code specifically entered in the dff)
however, changing it back to an existing Object number ie. 5140110, then it does get correctly populated in the distribution
