Forecast In Maintenance Workbench Is Not Proper After Completing Work Order (Doc ID 1937033.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.1.3 version, Enterprise Asset Management > Planned Maintenance

Suppressed activity work order is being suggested after the suppressing work order is completed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Setup as follows:

Asset: Asset A

Activity 'Act-1' is having PM Schedule 'PM-1' with the base '1-Jan-14 and the interval is 4 weeks
Activity 'Act-2' is having PM Schedule 'PM-2' with the base '1-Jan-14 and the interval is 12 weeks

Suppression: Act-2 suppress Act-1

Tolerance: 0

2. Forecast Work in Maintenance Workbench using the Start Date: 1-Mar-14 and End Date: 1-Apr-14.
Outcome :
Need to see the Forecast of the Asset with the 'Create' action for the schedule 'PM-2' only because PM-1 is suppressed by PM-2.
Client implements the work order. e.g . WO1234.
Re-run the forecast again for the same options, no issue at all. Up to this no issues or no concern related to the forecast.

3. Client has completed the implemented work order WO1234, and again run the forecast work with the same options,
Outcome :L
The Forecast Work is not showing the completed work order. This is fine.
But it is showing the forecast work for the schedule PM-1 (the suppressed activity). The suppressed work order should not be showing.

4. The PM engine is not forecasting any activity which is suppressed when the suppress activity work order (i.e for PM-2 ACT-2) is in released status and also for the unreleased status.
