Information in this document applies to any platform.
Currently the Default Need By Date in Parts Requirement is controlled by the following:
1. If there is NO scheduled Task attached to the Parts Requirement, the Need By date is determined by a profile: 'CSP: Parts Requirement default lead time in days for Need by Date''.
For example, if this profile is set to 2, then the Default Need By date is Sysdate + 2
2. If there is a Scheduled Task attached to the Parts Requirement, and then the Need By date will be defaulted to the Task's Scheduled Start Date
Also there are different requirement from Different customers to change the Default Need By date other than the existing functionality. E.g. Some customers want to Default the Need By Date to Sysdate + HOURS; Some customers don't want to Default the Need By Date to Task's Scheduled start date. How do we meet different requirement?
