Mailer SMTP Authentication Fails with Shared Mail Box Account (Doc ID 1946771.1)

Symptoms

When trying to start the mailer with outbound user <smtp_username>\<password>, the below error is received:

oracle.apps.fnd.cp.gsc.SvcComponentException: Validation failed for the following parameters -> {OUTBOUND_SERVER=Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name and password.}.
