Getting a 'Termination Process Failed' Error When Attempting to Terminate a Service Contract

Find that attempting to Terminate a Service Contract produces the following error.
Termination Process Failed
1. Using a Service Contracts responsibility, query the contract in the Search form.
2. Select the contract in the results and right click and select 'Terminate'.
3. Enter the Termination Date and Reason plus check the Full Credit checkbox.
4. Clicking on Terminate button leads to the indicated error.
