Data is brought into Oracle to update quantities, release the jobs, etc. The table wip_job_schedule_interface and wip mass load are used to do this.
There were occasions where it is desirable to update a step on the route thru Operations Resource Requirements but when users interfaced back the updates thru wip mass load, the route would reset to what was originally assigned to the job. Users then set the allow_explosion flag to 'N' to prevent the route steps from updating.
After setting the allow_explosion flag to 'N', the component quantities wouldn't update if users changed the job quantity.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Wip_job_schedule_interface was loaded with the quantity changed
2. Wip Mass Load was run
3. Notice that component quantities wouldn't update if the job quantity is changed
