Performing physical inventory adjustment for serial item doesn't use cost group rule

Performing physical inventory adjustment for serial item should use cost group rule

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create Serial controlled item.
2. Create new sub-inventory with cost group as CG-AAAA (This is not the default CG as per organization parameter setup)
3. Create new CG rule to return CG as CG-BBBB.
4. Assign the CG rule to a strategy.
5. Enable the strategy in rules workbench

Steps to be followed:

1. Create new physical inventory tied up to the new sub-inventory that has CG-AAAA
2. Perform snapshot

Note: As per current on-hand during snap shot there are no on-hand available for the serial item

3. Enter a dynamic tag for serial item having 1 quantity
4. Save the tag and see that the Cost group is updated as CG-AAAA (CG rule is not yet invoked hence sub-inventory CG is honored)
5. Approve the tags
6. Launch adjustments
7. Verify the adjustment transactions that gets posted in and see that the the serial controlled item still has CG-AAAA (Per sub-inventory setup).
