12.2 E-Business Suite Upgrade Completes Successfully, But When Starting The Instance Process OPMNCTL Is Missing (Doc ID 1953456.1)

E-Business Suite 12.2 Applications DBA, Upgrade related issues

 

 



After upgrading to R12.2.4 (Linux) from 11.5.10.2, attempts to start the services  fail with the below errors as part of post tasks in the following document:

<Note 1617458.1> - Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.4 Readme, section 6/6.1 Path A

Start all Application tier services on the run file system.
$ sh $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adstrtal.sh


ERROR
-----------------------

Starting Oracle Process Manager (OPMN) ...
/usr/bin/linux32: $FMW_HOME/webtier/instances/<sid_host>/bin/opmnctl: No such file or directory

The bin directory (opmnctl) is missing.
$ pwd
<run_filesystem>/FMW_Home/webtier/instances/<sid_host>
$ ls -tlr opmn
no such file or directory
