Symptoms
The trace file didn't get generated under the expected location:
Help -> Diagnostics -> Trace -> Regular Trace
Then a Note pop-up shows the trace file is generated under:
$RDBMS_ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/log/
Example:
On has enabled SQL tracing for this form and any other form opened.
The trace file is located at $RDBMS_ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/log/<sid>_ora_21163_SYSADMIN.trc
However, the trace file is generated under:
$RDBMS_ORACLE_HOME/admin/<SID>_<HOST>/diag/rdbms/<SID>/<SID>/trace
