Plan Immediately Available for New Manager Without Republishing (Doc ID 1954148.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 29, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Performance Management - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1 HRMS RUP7 version, Setup

When a worker is freshly nominated manager and becomes supervisor of some workers in the midway of a plan, he can see the plan immediately after the change in Core HR without republishing the plan with the "Rebuild Supervisor Hierarchy" option.

It's happening on 12.1 HRMS RUP7.

On 12.1 HRMS RUP5, it was not working in the same way. The new manager was not able to see the plan until it was republished with the "Rebuild Supervisor Hierarchy" option.

Expect that when a worker is freshly nominated manager and becomes supervisor of some workers in the midway of a plan, he should not be able to see the plan until
the plan is republished with the "Rebuild Supervisor Hierarchy" option or with the Reevaluate Plan population" option (This last option includes the Rebuild Supervisor Hierarchy option)

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

First scenario: A worker is nominated manager during the appraisal window.

Supervisor hierarchy:
Supervisor AA > Supervisor BB > Supervisor CC > Supervisor DD

1. Create an publish the plan with Supervisor AA as top supervisor.
2. Supervisor CC (Worker) start his appraisal and share it with Supervisor BB (Manager)
3. Supervisor CC update the appraisal and share it back with Supervisor BB (Appraisal in TRANSFER status)
4. In Core HR, assign Supervisor DD (New supervisor) as manager of Supervisor CC
      New supervisor Hierarchy
      Supervisor hierarchy:
Supervisor AA > Supervisor BB > Supervisor DD > Supervisor CC
5. Supervisor DD can see the plan and the tasks immediately thru Manager Self-Service

Second scenario: A worker is nominated manager during the scorecard window.

Supervisor hierarchy:
Supervisor AAA > Supervisor BBB > Supervisor CCC and Supervisor DDD

1. Create an publish the plan with Supervisor AAA as top supervisor.
2. In Core HR, assign Supervisor DDD (New supervisor) as manager of Supervisor CCC
    New supervisor Hierarchy
    Supervisor hierarchy:
Supervisor AAA > Supervisor BBB > Supervisor DDD > Supervisor CCC
3. Supervisor DDD an see the plan and the tasks immediately thru Manager Self-Service
