Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When attempting to add SIT in the People Management form, the following error occurs after applying patch for Bug 16485017 or other patches that contains this patch  (e.g. Patch 17220456, HR_PF.B RUP7).

APP-PAY-06039: Cannot get flexfield structure

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Apply patch for Bug 16485017 or other patches that contains this patch  (e.g. Patch 17220456, HR_PF.B RUP7). 
  2.  Open People Management Details form.
    (N) People -> Maintain Using Template -> Maintain Employee
      -> Select employee and click "Show Details" button
      -> Click "Special Information" tab
  3.  Select SIT from the Type pull-down list.
  4. Open "Calendar" window to enter "Date From" field and select date.
  5. "Type" pulldown list shows null and Flexfield structure disappears.
  6. Click "Save".
  7. Click "Yes" to the prompt "Do you want to save the change you have made?"
  8. Error occurs.
