Scorm 2004

There are several issues when playing a SCORM 2004 course.

1.   If the learning object has a primary score set as 78, 80 etc. then the course will error and not play as it is expecting a score between 0 and 1.

A primary score can be entered in the range 0 to 1, but the field can only accept values with 1 decimal place.

2.  The cmi.score.scaled is recorded as a number between 0 and 1

This is the score reported back to OLM and it is not converted to a percentage. This means that a learner will see a score such as 0.34 on their learner record, this is also how the score is reported to the Learning Administrator and in reporting solutions.

This happens with content created by Articulate and Captivate or written in HTML. The error was initially identified in Articulate Storyline.

Data Model Element Value Out Of Range (407)
If the communication session has been initialized and the SetValue()API method is invoked where parameter_2 matches the datatype of parameter_1 but the value was not in the specified range of values required for parameter_1, the LMS shall set the error code to Data Model Element Value Out Of Range (407) and return false .
