Expired Item Instances Are Not Showing up in the Results of a Simple Search in Install Base

Expired Item Instances are not showing up in the results of a Simple search in Install Base even though the "Show Expired Item Instances" check box has been selected. However, if we use the same search criteria in Advanced search then the results are showing up correctly, which includes Expired item instances as well.

Simple search should show expired instances if the "Show Expired Item Instances" check box is checked.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Oracle Install Base Agent User --> Item Instances
2. In simple search , Check show expired instances
3. Search results don't show expired instances

The issue has the following business impact:
It is creating confusion and users have to use Advanced search always to view Expired Item instances.
