Mobile Field Service - Unicode Characters Not displaying Correctly On The MFS Client

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, General / Laptop

When attempting to use UTF8 characters they do not appear correctly in the mobile client - although they are correct in the Enterprise application.


Error

Characters appear as nonsensical Roman punctuation, e.g. '?'.


Steps To Reproduce

  1. Create a Task in Enterprise with, e.g. Japanese characters in the Description and notes
  2. Synchronize to the mobile application
  3. Japanese characters do not appear correctly
