A preexisting salary record gets unnecessarily updated with incorrect information when an employee’s status is changed/updated in the People/Assignment screen using the same effective date of preexisting salary record.
The salary reason automatically updates to “Grade Step Progression.” The next Salary Review Date goes out a year from the effective date. The person who updated the status also appears to have updated the salary record.
Please note the following example:
1. The Salary Reason automatically changes from Reclassification to Grade / Step Progression.
2. The next Salary Review Date automatically changes from 15-May- 2014 to 27-Mar-2015.
3. The Last Updated By ID changed from XYZUSER to 8887.
4. The Last Updated Date changes from 02-Apr-2014 to 02-May-2014.
Assignment last history for last updated date and changed by from XYZUSER 02-Apr-2014 to 8887 02-May 2014
The data on the salary record should automatically update to “Grade Step Progression” and the next salary review date goes out a year from the effective date.
