IStore Customer Registration Page Gives Error With Alpha-numeric Customers Preventing New Customers (Doc ID 1965264.1)

When using iStore customer registration page (jtftmplh.jsp) to register a customer (type Organization) with alpha-numeric Register_id e.g. 7777A the following error occurs :-

However if the user created new Organization with numbers only e.g. 7777 and use the same registration page the error does not occur

Profile, HZ: Generate Party Number = No

"The user could not be registered at this time due to an internal error Please contact the system administrator if this problem persists.
Note to System Administrators: View source for more information about this error."

Caused by : oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.FrameworkException: IBE_ERR_UM_REG_USER

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Access iStore and select the Register link
2. Enter details for an organization that contains Alphanumeric registry_id
3. Submit
4. Error occurs
