Finder Total is Incorrect On Second Screen of the Finder Page

Symptoms
Total weight field on a screen set has the total option selected.
When a line is selected on the first screen, the total is correctly displayed in the bottom row of the page. But when the second page of that screen is selected the weight from the first screen is carried over but is multiplied by 1000. This is incorrect.
