Why 'Update Inventory Item Costing' Process is Updating Item Cost on Master Inventory Organization? (Doc ID 1970225.1)

Goal

During end-to-end Price Protection Testing and Demo customer observed that 'Update Inventory Item Costing' process is updating Item Cost both in Master Inventory Organization as well as in the Inventory Organization where the transaction is been done.

As per customer's expectation, 'Update Inventory Item Costing' process should only update Item Cost on the Inventory Organization where the transaction is been done. The customer was not expecting that the process will also update Item Cost on Master Inventory.Organization.
