Item Synchronization from EBS Not Being Received by GTM

Symptoms
When attempting to run the 'Item Synchronization' or 'Party Synchronization' programs using ITM Adaptor responsibility in EBS 12.1.3 instance to send a 'Trade Item' or 'Trade Party' to the GTM 6.3.5 instance, the following errors occur.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
EBS 12.1.3 Instance/ITM Adaptor Super User Responsibility/
1. Start the ITM Adaptor. - Administration/Adapter Startup
2. Run the Item Synchronization Program - ITM Adaptor/Item Synchronization
3. Check the log file Item Synchronization request and Adaptor Startup request.
The message is : 235829 Worker0 (WARN) Start of root element expected.
4. Validate the data in GTM also, the EBS data is not flowing to GTM.
