Payslip does not display negative hours and pay.
Employees recently had Regular Salary come up with negative hours and pay due to an issue with the 'Override Regular' setting on the Sympathy Pay element, which is also a 'reduce regular' element. Although the SOE shows the negative hours and earnings, the Payslip did not. The negative hours and earnings were also not picked up in Discoverer reports.
Although the pay issue with Sympathy Pay was corrected by setting the Override Regular to No, the customer would still like payslips and reports to show the negative pay (like the SOE) so the Payroll Dept will know when there are potential problems.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run payroll for employees
2. View SOE and see Regular Salary has negative hours and pay
3. Run Payroll Archive
4. View Payslip and find the Regular Salary hours and amount are blank or zero for the period. The net and gross pay are also incorrect.
