Document Sequences Generated Are Skipping Sequences when ' GL: Copy document sequence from primary' is set to 'N' (Doc ID 1985089.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating manual journals - sequences are created absolutely fine. However, in case the user switches immediately to create subledger journals, a document sequence number is skipped.

The sequence setup is made as 'Gapless' and this happens when the Profile 'GL: Copy document sequence from primary'  is set to 'N'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to General Ledger Responsibility
2. Define document sequence setup with Gapless
2. Journal -> Enter
3. Create Subledger journals
